Verity Walker established Interpretaction in 1999 and previously held senior roles within the National Trust and the National Trust for Scotland and with the Imperial War Museum.  She has extensive experience of heritage interpretation, education, marketing, events management and planning from actually doing the job herself. 

Verity often works alone, but where appropriate can call on teams of associates (all independent and experts in their field) with complementary skills.  See below for a current list:

Loic Benot, developing the Interpretaction approach in France as 'depiedencap' and specialising in live interpretation. A bilingual interpreter, Loic has worked at many sites across the UK and in France.

Wordsmith par excellence, Monmouth-based Eleanor Bird regularly contributes to audit work and written interpretation projects.

Nicky Boyd, an experienced evaluation consultant working from London, frequently joins forces with us on evaluation and research projects.

Based in Balblair on the Black Isle, photographer Andrew Dowsett has contributed to client projects requiring landscape and people images for website or orientation panel use.

Sarah Eley runs the marketing consultancy Bespoke Marketing Solutions from Harrogate in Yorkshire, and joins our team whenever a high volume of data analysis is required.

BBC producer and newsreader Anne Marie Goldie is a familiar voice to many radio listeners in the Highlands.  She provides Interpretaction with expert training in audio techniques and high-quality digital editing skills.

Formerly Head of Learning and Interpretation at the National Trust, arts and learning consultant Laura Hetherington covers the south-west of England, specialising in innovative work using drama and the arts for learning and interpretation

Designers Alistair Milligan and Heather Ross of Ross Associates are based in the Scottish Borders and manage to combine unflappability, endless patience and good humour with a rare flare for layout, illustration and image.

Arts specialist Sue Pirnie based in Conon Bridge project manages large or complex projects with strong creative/visual arts content .

The Plexus Media team in Cromarty offers expert website design/management advice.

London/Black Isle based Alasdair Nicolson, composer and conductor, collaborates with Verity on various community-orientated music ventures, including a Culbin song cycle

Expert live interpreters Andrew Ashmore and Chris Bailey, both London-based have scripted and helped to develop many live interpretation programmes with Interpretaction.
