Found! Pictures of an heroic 1970s rescue
01 February 2012

Our clients know that we will always go the extra mile for a project.

Contracted for just a day to develop interpretive panel content for our client, Raigmore Community Council, we decided to run a local press release to see if any photographs of a voluntary 1970s project which moved an entire ancient ring cairn (stone by stone, from the path of the new A9, over 13 Saturdays!) might come to light.

Not only did members of the public send in their snaps, but we also tracked down an original professional shot, used in Scots Magazine in 1976, in a shoebox in the under-the-stairs cupboard of one local photographer who had bought the stock of another.

It all took much longer than a day of course but the satisfaction is great!

We'll post an image of the finished panel here when we've completed the project.
